The 27-year-old pop superstar will join regular coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson as the next season of the NBC show, Season 21.
A source said on page 6: » Ariana is a huge fan of The Voice and her management team has been negotiating for a while to get her on the show.
« She is replacing Nick Jonas who is [coach] this season but he’s not leaving Forever. Nick will stay in rotation with other stars who have appeared on the show. Chances are he’ll be back soon. «
The multi-Grammy Award-winning Grande has been on » The Voice ”and played her hit“ Into You ”in the 2016 finale, but did not take part as a trainer.
Her most recent album“ Positions ”broke the record for most songs, which was # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 debuted, cementing her as Spotify’s most streamed artist in the last decade.
Grande said: « I am very honored and excited to join The Voice family! I’ve been a huge fan of the show for so long.
« I can’t wait to compete with the incredible coaches, meet these new artists and take their craft to the next level. »
Grande also shared her enthusiasm on social media and wrote : « Surprise !!! I’m over the moon, honored, and excited to be at @ kellyclarkson @ johnlegend @ blakeshelton next season ~ Season 21 of @nbcthevoice! 🤍 « and notes: » @nickjonas, we will miss you. «
The combat rounds for the current season 20 of » The Voice « with coaches Clarkson, Jonas, Legend and Shelton will continue on Monday, April 5th and April 12th on NBC.
