Bull trainer Jake White has named a new team to face the Lions in a postponed Currie Cup game at Loftus Versfeld on Wednesday night.
After naming an expanded squad for the game on Monday had, White named his team on matchday on Tuesday evening without the center stars Cornal Hendricks and Stedman Gans as well as the wing Kurt-Lee Arendse.
The wings Travis Ismaiel and Marco Janse van Vuren, both of whom were recently seen on the wings, also missed the selection.
The good news is that Lizo Gqoboka is back in the front row after a break, while Chris Smith, as he has already done several times in the Currie Cup, starts at flyhalf before Morne Steyn.
The cops have been hit hard by Covid-19 in the past few weeks and several players are unavailable. White was also bedridden with the virus during Christmas time.
The match was supposed to have been played on Boxing Day, but was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak at Bulls Camp.
