Wales Bonner and Adidas Originals have another joint collection on the way, crossing the reggae era of the early 1980s when dancehall music became a staple in Jamaica.
The spring 21 collection with the The name « Essence » was first introduced during the Paris Fashion Week for men in September 2020 and is a continuation of their fall collection « Lovers Rock » 20. With unique colors, the collaboration offers updated color variants of the Adidas Originals Samba and Nizza Lo silhouettes.
The Adidas Nizza Lo is available in two colors. The first comes with a purple upper that shows off the classic three stripes in white and yellow with the name Wales Bonner printed next to each other. The outsole is semi-transparent and has the Adidas Originals protocol on the tongue. The second color of the Nizza Lo is cream, red and white.
The Samba has a full leather upper with a suede toe cap. It also has a heel tab as well as satin lining, leather strips, and extra crochet laces. It comes in a black and green color with a brown outsole.
The collection will also feature pieces from the 1970s, including shorts, t-shirts and tracksuits. The Wale Bonner x Adidas Originals collaboration will be available worldwide from March 26th and will cost between $ 100 and $ 320. It will be released on Adidas.com, the verified app, and select retailers.
This will not be the last time the two entities will work together. In January of this year, Bonner and Adidas Originals presented a collaboration in autumn 21.
