In the 90th minute of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Bundesliga meeting against Schalke, Luka Jovic came off the bench tonight to score a brace in his first game since being loaned by Real Madrid.
Jovic has personally asked to leave Madrid this month via Fabrizio Romano, a request that Zinedine Zidane duly approved to get his career going again after an 18-month nightmare in Spain.
The 23-year-old gave in 62 .Minute his second debut for Eintracht – technically even the third if you count one for his loan to the German team from Benfica and the final move.
The ace only took 10 minutes to hit the net with a huge shot hold true. Jovic made it to a brace on his return in the 90th minute.
Jovic snapped a through pass from Filip Kostic – his compatriot and creator of his first goal tonight – before using a brilliant, cutting turn inward, to beat his defender and make room.
The striker then showed the clinical skill that brought a big move to Madrid when he stabbed the ball into the near corner of the post.

Los Blancos signed the Serbs from Frankfurt in summer 2019 for an entry fee of 65 million euros, according to the Guardian, however, only 32 goals and two assists in 32 games for the club.
Jovic only started in 11 of these 32 games and with only five appearances this season it was clear that a loan exit was ideal, with Frankfurt – the club he made famous – the perfect target.
It’s not surprising that Jovic hit the bottom – and Madrid are hoping to continue – as the ace scored three goals and two assists for Serbia in four games in their last two international breaks.
