The Arkansas Razorbacks and Vanderbilt Commodores meet Saturday for college basketball at Vanderbilt University Memorial Gym.

Arkansas is coming so far at 11-4 in this. The Razorbacks are 1-2 in their last three games, beating Auburn. Vanderbilt is 4-6 this season. The Commodores have lost four times in a row, most recently against Tennessee. Check back all season for free college basketball tips at Sports Chat Place.

Arkansas started its year with a nine-game winning streak that culminated in a win over Auburn on December 30th. After losing to Missouri and Tennessee, the Razorbacks defeated Georgia before falling to LSU and Alabama. On Wednesday, Arkansas won again against Auburn.

In the 75:73 win over the Tigers on Wednesday, Arkansas’ Desi Sills led the team with 22 points with three rebounds and two assists. Jalen Tate added 14 points with five assists and four rebounds, and both Justin Smith and Davonte Davids scored 10 points each.

On the Vanderbilt side, they started their year 3-1 with wins over Valparaiso, MS Valley State and Radford. After losing to Davidson and beating Alcorn State, the Commodores have lost four games against Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

In the loss to the Vols last Saturday, Vanderbilt’s Scotty Pippen Jr. scored 18 points with two rebounds and one assist, while Dylan Disu led the team with 19 points, five rebounds and two assists. Jordan Wright delivered nine points and four rebounds in 21 minutes.

The Commodores are 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 Saturday games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games as underdogs. The score is 6-0 in Vanderbilt’s last six games and 7-1 in their last eight Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Razorbacks have 2-7 ATS in their last nine street games and 2-7 in their last nine street games ATS against a team with a home record. The finish is 23-6-1 in Arkansas’ last 30 overall and 11-2 in the last 13 street games.

PICK: I’m sticking with Arkansas. The Razorbacks have done well with 74 points or more in four of them in their last five games (the outlier being a 90-59 loss to a fiery Alabama team). Vanderbilt has had some good results himself lately but seems to hold up against tougher teams. Should be the coverage of the Razorbacks.
