Lakers vs.. . Mavericks and Warriors vs.. . Bucks Cancels NBA Christmas Day Schedule for Jan.. December emerged.

The NBA is slated to return in December. 22 with the first expected list of games is the ever-popular Christmas list. We are expected to release the full schedule for the first half sometime this week, but we got a leak on the X-Mas Day games through ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Note that this is a tentative schedule. Here is the full list of the games:

Pelicans vs.. . Heat, 12:00 p. m. ETWarriors vs.. . Dollar, 14:30 p. m. ETNets vs.. . Celtics, 5:00 p.m.. m. ETMavericks vs.. . Lakers, 8:00 p.m.. m. ETClippers vs.. . Nuggets, 10:30 p. m. ET

So the big games on the schedule are LeBron James vs.. . Luka Doncic and the Dubs in the spotlight against the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. We’re getting a rematch of the second round of the Western Conference starting in 2020 in the Clips nuggets when Denver came back 3-1 to win the series. We’re also getting the return of Kevin Durant for the nets against the Celtics. Is It Too Early to Start DFS Statements?

These aren’t your traditional Christmas Day matchups. For one thing, the New York Knicks don’t play. This is most likely due to the fact that playing a game at Madison Square Garden without fans is fundamentally pointless, considering the Knicks are unlikely to be competitive.

A rematch of the 2020 NBA Finals would have been fun – Lakers vs.. . heat. We have both teams, but outside of the reigning Eastern champions against Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram, there isn’t much for Pelicans-Heat. I think you got the vengeance tale from Stan Van Gundy. . Miami? Does anyone remember that?

If I had to rank the matchups in « most pumped » order, I would have to go:

No offense to Jimmy Butler and Zion and the gang, but it’s basically just another regular season game. All four other matchups have an impact on the playoffs, three within the conference. Celtics-Nets could be the new rivalry in the east. Doncic vs.. . LeBron will be fun.
