Monday, 21. December 2020: Today at the General Hospital, Maxie and Peter discover the gender of their baby. Finn is determined to get clean. and Cyrus and Laura argue about their past.
Florence wakes up in the long-term care facility. Martin has cakes for her. Cyrus wishes her a happy birthday while Laura watches her uncomfortably. Florence panics where she is and wonders who Laura is. When they declare that she is their half-sister, Florence accuses Cyrus of killing her husband. He insists it was an accident and he did his best to take care of her. She is disturbed and says he is a stranger.
Laura notices how upset Cyrus is and takes him into the hall. She believes him when he says his father’s death was an accident, but she wishes he had just told her they are related instead of walking her through all these turns to get there. Laura wants him to go away, but he thinks she’s starting to see how much they have in common. She claims she was trying to make the world a better place and that doesn’t apply to him. When threatened, Martin comes out and tells his brother to withdraw. When Cyrus and Laura argue, he says he will buy Port Charles piece by piece.
When Cyrus returns to his mother, he tells her he would buy her anything that could make her smile. He says he is not a criminal, that he has made something of himself and that he is bragging about his achievements. He is sure that one day she will see him as the world does.
Chase and George stop by Anna, where Finn sews a tail to a stuffed animal. The doctor says he is planning an early night. Before they can leave, Chase insists that they restore a family tradition: Poker Night. As they sit at the table and start playing, they talk about the wedding. Finn says he was wrong when George and Jackie got married. George tells his sons how proud he is of them. He admits he pushed Finn a lot harder. When Chase goes to get root beer, George tells Finn that Jackie admitted that it was partly her fault that he didn’t come to the wedding. Finn realizes that her explanation of why was far from the truth.
Carly is walking up and down the Corinthos grounds. Dante shows up and feels that something is wrong. He gives presents and she explains that she couldn’t reach Sonny. She asks how he readjusts with Rocco and tells him he’s doing the right thing. He went through the files and found that Sonny made sure he and Lulu got their house. He wanted to thank him and assures her that his father will be back for Christmas. Dante apologizes for not being there when Donna was born. Carly takes him upstairs to introduce her.
Peter joins Maxie at Metro Court and they decide to find out the baby’s gender. She’s got the news in an envelope.
Valentin sits down at a table with Anna. She met with Dante to assess his mental health and fears that Valentin will not like what she found. She admits he has changed a lot but has improved over the past year. Anna assumes that he must be fine if the WSB lets him out. Valentin doubts the intentions of the office. With a little more research, she admits that the WSB is probably using Dante for something.
Peter and Maxie come out and announce that they are having a baby girl. Maxie and Anna go to discuss flowers for the wedding. Valentin notices that Peter seems relieved to have a daughter. Peter admits he can’t get rid of the thought a son might take after Faison. Meanwhile, Maxie meets Dante at the bathroom and tells him that she has a daughter.
When Anna comes home, Finn tells her that he can no longer keep a secret why he has become estranged from his family.
In New Jersey, Jason watches the bridge collapse and Sonny disappears into the water. He runs down to call for him and hides when a helicopter flies over. The cops start searching the area and find a body. When the body bag is brought out, it is opened to reveal Julian with a bullet in his chest. They suspect that he did not drown and identified his body.
