For the third game in a row, the University of Louisville soccer team will be missing at least one key player.
U of L announced an hour before kick-off with Syracuse that the Marshon Ford red shirt was not available for the competition. The school didn’t give a reason why Ford missed the game, but sources have confirmed he is recovering from an injury.
Ford has more career TD catches at 12 than any other close ending in U of L history, with the exception of Ibn Green, 33, Gary Barnidge, 17, and Ronnie Ghent (15). . Ford’s 13th. 0 yards per catch rank eighth among the narrow ends of U of L with at least 500 career opportunities. .
U of L’s release states that every other player is available for today’s game, including Tutu Atwell. He had been listed as having an injury day after day.
The Cardinals were missing nine players against Virginia Tech and seven against Virginia last week due to COVID-19 concerns.
