A hat-trick from Neymar helped Brazil to a 4-2 victory over Peru in a 2022 World Cup qualifier in Lima on Tuesday, while Colombian Radamel Falcao came off the bench to score a last-minute equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Chile in Santiago

Peru’s Andre Carrillo scored his third goal in two games to put the home side ahead after six minutes with a clean volley from outside the box, but Neymar equalized on the spot in 28 minutes after being fouled

Peru took the lead again after 59 minutes when a 25-yard shot from Renato Tapias hit Rodrigo Caio before rolling into the net, only for Richarlison to equalize five minutes later

Neymar put Brazil in the lead with another penalty seven minutes to go and, after Peru’s Carlos Zambrano sent off, scored his 64th international goal when he stabbed at home in injury time to carry the score at 4-2

A penalty from Arturo Vidal after 38 minutes and an opportunistic goal from Alexis Sanchez three minutes before half-time put Chile in charge

But Falcao was there in a packed penalty area to send a Johan Mojica shot into the net and give Colombia a deserved share of the points

Chile, who conceded a late goal against Uruguay to lose their opener 2-1, are on a point alongside Peru in the South American 10-team group, ahead of only Venezuela and Bolivia

The next round of matches will take place from 12 to 17 November, with Chile at home against Peru and then away in Venezuela Colombia welcomes Uruguay and then faces Ecuador
