After the Kentucky Wildcats football season ended yesterday, we already have a new trainer for next season’s staff.
Kentucky will add Jemal Singleton as a new running backs coach, according to multiple reports. Singleton has been with the Cincinnati Bengals under coach Zac Taylor for the past two seasons. A bright spot for the Bengals this season was their return leg before Joe Mixon’s injuries and completing the veteran Samaje Perine Giovanni Bernard.
Previously, Singleton was with the Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders. Before Singleton made the leap to the pros, Singleton was back in the college ranks of the SEC as Arkansas Running Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator and spent some time in Stillwater, Oklahoma State, as a Running Backs Coach.
Singleton will be the NFL’s second new coach this off-season, joining Kentucky’s new offensive coordinator Liam Coen.
It remains to be seen if Singleton Chris Rodriguez Jr. will have. to work for next year, but if one thing is for sure, there will still be a talented running back core in Kentucky next year whether or not CRJ returns.
