There are some very big names in the series this year as Mo Farah, AJ Pritchard and Victoria Derbyshire test their survival skills.. But is Ruth Jones Going to Celebrity Me? The show has promised two new latecomers and thinks Gavin & star Stacey is one of them.
Since this year’s camp mates engage in a routine of surviving rice and fighting the elements, the expectation of new camp mates is tangible.. Paddy Power account folks are already putting in odds as to who will enter the castle next and Jones appears to be a very popular choice. She is currently the leaderboard with 3/1 when entering the show.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “With travel restrictions limiting the chances of the Hollywood star joining the castle this year, producers may need to look locally for some inspiration – and we think Ruth Jones is a ‘regulated’ choice..
I reached out to the « I’m a Celebrity » representative to talk about my campmates who are coming, but I haven’t received a response yet..
Jones isn’t the only Welsh celebrity who has likely been linked to getting on the show. Paddy Bauer mentioned rugby player Gareth Thomas, singing sensation Tom Jones, and co-star Gavin Ceciandkar Stacy cited actress Joanna Page as potential competitors.
Jones hasn’t dropped any hints yet of whether she’s watching the show, let alone entering the castle, but a celebrity has ditched that he might be making a trip to North Wales.
