PHILLIP Schofield collapsed to the ground during last night’s Million Pound Cube after a nervous shredding round
Kevin Clifton had to balance a silver orb on a disc in such a stressful challenge that he needed a doctor for the first time in his television career
He tweeted: « Never had an injury on Strictly After the Cube the doctor rushed in the ibuprofen 🤣 »
The task involved the old Strictly pro reaching for a magnet and trying to connect it with a silver ball
But the challenge proved devilishly difficult when he appeared on the show with his girlfriend Stacey Dooley
The 38-year-old star temptingly came close after several attempts, but the ball rolled away from the magnet at the last moment with Phillip shouting, « Noooo! »
Kevin said: « You’re kidding me The ball was just kissing the magnet »
Phillip, 56, told him: « I don’t remember in nine series of this series feeling like this Oh my God, Kevin You must be knocked out »
Eventually Kevin pulled off the £ 10,000 challenge – with three lives remaining – as Phillip called it the « most deserved » victory the series has ever witnessed
They fought through another round but decided to stop at £ 25,000 after Kevin urged Stacey to stop
It was an emotional race on Million Pound Cube this week, with Phillip on the verge of tears after a father won £ 100,000 for his children
The host told contestant Adam on Friday night’s show: « You just changed your children’s lives »
