Neil Harris was Cardiff City’s harshest critic after his first return to Millwall when an opposition manager ended up without a win in another game. The 43-year-old’s résumé is dominated by his three spells at The Den, first as a striker who became her all-time top scorer and finally as a manager.
Now his only focus is on getting Cardiff into Premier League status, which they have enjoyed all too briefly on two occasions. With this performance, it’s a task that seems to be more difficult than the welcome he would surely have received during this game if home fans, some of the least forgiving in world football, had been there to witness it.
