The UFC was announced at the beginning of the year and has now published its countdown function for Jan Błachowicz against Israel Adesanya at UFC 259. As the headliner for the stacked event, middleweight champion Adesanya will step up a weight class to challenge light heavyweight champion Jan Błachowicz.
The UFC 259 countdown offers a glimpse into the lives of the two champions, who are clearly different and yet striking are similar. Out of mutual devotion to the family, Błachowicz from Poland and Adesanya from New Zealand literally train in opposite climates, incorporating the forms of nature around them. When the two kings clash, Adesanya will either see another division best or Błachowicz will successfully defend his title for the first time.
In a night that mixed martial arts fans will remember, UFC 259, which is in the UFC Apex factory in Las Vegas, Nevada, will see a total of four champions in the octagon. As the women’s featherweight world champion, Amanda Nunes takes on the dangerous challenger Megan Anderson, and Petr Yan defends his bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling.
