Police charged man with murder after 43-year-old man died in Gympie yesterday

At around 10 p.m. on November 1, a white ute crashed into the front gate of a property on Burns Road, Ross Creek
The vehicle was abandoned on impact and the police carried out numerous patrols in the area, but could not locate the persons of interest
Yesterday morning at 6 a.m., police found a 45-year-old man believed to have been linked to the located vehicle, who was later taken into custody to assist with police investigations
At 10 a.m., a 43-year-old man was found dead on an embankment on a property on Burns Road
Ongoing police investigations led to the arrest last night of a 36-year-old man from Island Plantation, allegedly involved in the first altercation on John Street, in which the 43-year-old deceased was seriously injured
He has been charged with murder, assault causing bodily harm and willful damage and is scheduled to appear in Hervey Bay Magistrates’ Court this morning (November 3)
