Partner of 49-year-old patient who bled to death after giving birth to twins sues hospital and fertility specialist over tragic death
Fiona Hayne’s de facto partner Blake Ind says mother suffered ‘litany of failures’ including alleged implantation of two embryos instead of one during treatment by IVF
The claim for $ 1.84 million has been submitted to the Queensland Supreme Court and also alleges that the mother was initially kicked out of the hospital due to a lack of beds
Fiona Hayne died at Gold Coast University Hospital on June 2, 2018, after giving birth to twins
According to the assertion of M Ind, Mrs Hayne lost about three liters of blood after the placenta detached and her organs were shut.
The hospital where Ms Hayne died and fertility specialist Andrew Cary are at the center of the claim
