The South Australian authorities believe a missing snorkeler is likely to have been the victim of a shark attack.
A search was launched Thursday night after a 32-year-old man from the Victoria area snorkeled in the waters off Port Macdonnell in the southeastern state was reported missing.
Local police, including PolAir, SES crews Fisheries SA, and local volunteers helped with the search, which resumed Friday morning.
Found on Friday PolAir and Police Water Operations members found a damaged wetsuit after discovering fins on Thursday evening. Police now suspect the man was the victim of a shark attack after PolAir discovered a shark in the area on Thursday afternoon .
