The MTA bus, which lost control and dangled precariously on a Bronx flyover and injured at least eight people, was removed from the freeway early Friday.
The driver of the Bx35 bus tried to get around 23.10 AM turn left on University Avenue on a ramp to Washington Bridge. Thursday when he went off track and the vehicle crashed off the flyover.
The front of the bus landed flat on its windshield on a portion of the Cross Bronx Expressway, while the back remained grounded on University Avenue. </ The bus was completely removed from the expressway on Friday morning, the front was badly damaged and the windshields were blown out. There was blood on the dashboard.
One person was seriously injured during the incident while the others sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to FDNY.
One of the victims sustained serious injuries while the others were considered non-life-threatening and were considered minors.
