During a police chase, a car drove « erratically » through Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne’s CBD.
According to reports, some pedestrians had to jump out of the way when the car « tore down » the thoroughfare to evade the police.
Police in Victoria said officers tried to run over a green Toyota Corolla on Bourke Street near Swanston Street Thursday evening.
The driver refused to stop , installed a curb before driving off and drove « irregularly » through the CBD.
The driver was followed by the Victoria Police Air Wing and was last seen in the St. Kilda area.
