Federal agents have arrested two other rioters whose pictures went viral during the attack on the US Capitol. One carried the parliamentary lectern and another carried horns and fur.
Dozens of people were charged after the Capitol storm last Wednesday. The FBI has asked the public to help identify the participants as more and more pictures of the riot have been posted online. Five people have died, including a police officer.
Jacob Anthony Chansley, who featured prominently on social media with horns, fur, face paint and a spear adorned with the US flag, turned himself in to the police.
Mr Chansley, also known as Jake Angeli, told agents, « He came as part of a group work with other » Patriots « from Arizona at the President’s request that all » Patriots « come to DC on January 6th. »

Federal agents also arrested Adam Christian Johnson, whose photo also went viral as he smiled and waved as he carried away the lectern for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Mr. Johnson, of Parrish, Fla., Also streamed live video of himself on Facebook as he walked through the halls of the Capitol. The video has been removed from online platforms and all of Mr. Johnson’s pages have been removed.
On Saturday, Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat who is the new chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, wrote to the executives of 11 wireless carriers and social Media companies, urging them to preserve content and related metadata related to the uprising broke out as lawmakers rallied to approve the election of Democratic President-elect Joe Biden.
In his letters, Warner emphasized How the rioters documented the event and shared it on social media and text messages “to celebrate their disdain for our democratic process.” Before his arrest, Mr. Chansley was delighted to see the crowd infiltrating the Capitol and the legislature forced to flee. « The fact that we had loads of traitors in office, crouching, putting on gas masks, and retreating to their underground bunker, I think was a win, » he told NBC News.

Mr. Chansley faces multiple federal charges, including forced entry and disorderly behavior on the grounds of the Capitol. He had been seen many times at rallies in support of Mr. Trump.
A man arrested in connection with the events at the Capitol and threats against lawmakers told FBI agents he was one day late on Thursday Arrived in Washington for the rally, after being late on the way to Ohio.
Cleveland Meredith was found with a Tavor X95 assault rifle, a Glock pistol, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
He was found in the Detained in connection with threats against Ms. Pelosi after an FBI agent read text messages on Jan. 7 that Meredith had « put a bullet in her noggin » and ran his truck over her.
At least one Dozen other people were prosecuted in connection with the uprising in the US District Court for the District of Columbia, and at least 40 fewer people were prosecuted in the District of Columbia Superior Court gt. Many of them were charged and released Thursday, with the judge’s orders not to return to Washington unless they appear in court or meet with their attorneys.
This included Richard Barnett, the Arkansas man, who was photographed with his feet on a desk in Ms. Pelosi’s office.
Nicholas Ochs, the self-proclaimed leader of the Hawaii chapter of the far-right Proud Boys group, who failed to run for a seat in the Hawaii House of Representatives in November, was arrested on his return to Honolulu and charged with illegal entry into restricted buildings or properties.
