One of the highlights of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was the re-programmed murder droid K-2SO, played by Alan Tudyk. However, it appears that the popular character will not appear in the upcoming Star Wars: Andor prequel series, as previously reported.
In an interview with Collider, Tudyk revealed that it is unlikely that he will appear in the first season of the Disney series will appear even though he appeared on Disney’s D23 announcement of Andor in 2019.
« You’re filming it right now, I’m not in. But if it stays in the air, stories keep being told, I’ll be there « said Tudyk. » I’m in all of these announcements for the show and I suggested to D23 when we announced on the show that it was called K2 Fast K2 Furious: The Cassian Andor series and um, that won’t happen it’s called Andor! ”
“ I know that: I have to stand on stilts for this because the character is 7’1 ″ tall, and I’m not one of those people who say: ‘Somebody else does the motion detection, and I’ll say it out later. ”I need to do motion detection and repair nd will be 50 in March, ”continued Tudyk. « So I hope they can do it soon, because I won’t be on stilts in about five years. I don’t! »

Star Wars: Andor features returning Rogue One stars Diego Luna (Cassian Andor) and Genevieve O’Reilly (Mon Mothma) while joining Star Wars newcomers Adria Arjona (6 Underground), Stellan Skarsgard (Chernobyl) and Denise Gough (The Kid Who Would belong to Be King) and Kyle Soller (101 Dalmatian Street). The series is currently in production and should be released in 2022.
