Samsung, the world leader in advanced storage technology, today announced the release of the 870 EVO SSD in India, the company’s newest SATA solution in the world’s best-selling consumer SSD series [2]. The new drive combines first-class performance and reliability, making it a comprehensive storage solution for a wide range of consumers, from general PC users to IT professionals.

The 870 EVO also offers an improvement in random reading speed of almost 38% over the previous model 860 [3] and enables an improved user experience when multitasking, surfing the Internet or simply booting from PCs.
Samsung uses the experience it has and its Know-how of storage storage technologies and designs all SSD components in-house to ensure that all parts work together coherently. As a result, the 870 EVO offers 30% better sustained performance over the 860 EVO [4] as well as a world class terabyte rating (TBW) of 2,400 TB [5] or a 5 year limited warranty on its 4 TB model. In addition to exceptional performance and reliability, the 870 EVO offers broad compatibility with many computing devices and the latest PC features. The drive can be used with any device that has a 2.5-inch SATA interface connection. In addition, with its energy-saving mode, the 870 EVO is compatible with devices that support the modern Windows standby function and offers PC users additional convenience.
