LATROBE, PA (KDKA) – The Greater Latrobe School District says an anonymous 911 call that resulted in a full police search of the Latrobe Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon may have been a prank.
Just before 1 p.m. A large police presence from multiple departments gathered in the school building on Cedar Avenue.
Ross Guidotti of KDKA reported that police were searching the building room by room for someone who should not have been there.
According to the school district Investigators believe the anonymous 911 call may have been a prank on the potential threat.
District officials say law enforcement will stay in the school building for the rest of the school day as a precaution.
