Two women were charged after allegedly planning to circumcise a two-week-old girl in Perth.
It is a crime to commit female genital mutilation in Western Australia, police said in their statement.
« The two women are believed to have contacted a doctor in January 2021 to have the two-week-old female baby circumcised, » police said.
