Lorenzo Savadori will make his full-time MotoGP debut this year after being confirmed at Aprilia as Aleix Espargaro’s team-mate.
The team’s rider line-up was made during the official 2021 bike launch at the Losail circuit Announced internationally in Qatar ahead of the official tests at the same circuit.
Savadori drove for Aprilia for the last three laps of last season, replacing Bradley Smith. However, in the winter it was revealed that he and Bradley Smith would both be battling for a spot on this year’s team. A decision should only be made after the pre-season testing, but that is no longer the case.
The Italian teamed up with Espargaro, who is starting his fifth season with Aprilia, recently on a private testing at Jerez and his position was confirmed today.

Savadori will get his first impression of the RS-GP 2021 at tomorrow’s shakedown test (March 5th). He can participate as Aprilia made his concessions for the new one Savadori will then take part in the two-day official test this weekend and the three-day test next week.
