The Los Angeles Angels and Kansas City Royals meet Monday night in MLB action from Kauffman Stadium.

The Los Angeles Angels arrive pretty rested after Sunday’s matchup against Toronto was postponed. So far this season, Mike Trout leads the Angels with 12 hits, a batting average of 0.414, and is one of three Angels with 3 home runs while logging 6 RBIs. Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh each have 10 hits with 3 home runs, with Ohtani recording a pair of triples and 11 team-level strikeouts while Walsh has 9 team-level RBIs. Dylan Bundy has thrown 12 innings, recording a team high of 3.75 ERA and 16 strikeouts this season. With the postponement, Alex Cobb will start here and is 0-0 with 4.50 ERA and 7 strikeouts this season. In his career, Cobb is 1-3 with a 4.54 ERA and 24 strike against Kansas City.

The Kansas City Royals want to build on a 4-3 win in additional innings against the Chicago White Sox in their final match. Carlos Santana had a solo homer while Whit Merrifield went 2 to 4 with an RBI and Andrew Benintendi added an RBI of his own. Kyle Isbel went 2 to 4 at the court while Michael A. Taylor also added a base goal as the Royals as a team only had seven hits in the winning performance. Mike Minor went four innings and only gave up one run with four hits while scoring three hits without considering the decision. Greg Holland took the win and improved to 1-1 while Kyle Zimmer picked up the save. Brady Singer will start here and is 0-1 with 13.50 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. This will be Singer’s first career start against the Angels.

Los Angeles are 5-2 in their last 7 games overall and 20-41 in their last 61 street games, while the 4-1 over is the favorite in their last 5 games. Kansas City is 14-43 in their last 57 games against the AL West and 10-3 in their last 13 home games, while that is under 4-0-1 in their last 5 games overall. Los Angeles is 10-3 in the last 13 meetings between these two teams and 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between the two teams in Kansas City.

I understand why the Royals would be worth a look if they went to Would get home plus money but the Angels are rested after Sunday’s matchup with Toronto was postponed and while I’m not an Alex Cobb fan with this solid line-up behind him I think he can make the Angels in the Queuing for a victory. Nothing against the royals, I’m just not a Brady Singer yet. I’ll put the juice with the angels here on the street.
