World news – Josh Gordon shows flashes of old brilliance on FCF debut

Josh Gordon is back to football and is looking for his next NFL chance with the newest spring league, Fan Controlled Football.

The often-banned wide receiver scored two on Saturday night’s debut for the Zappers in the indoor league Touchdowns that fans can use to watch the offensive games.

Johnny Manziel, Gordon’s former teammate at the Cleveland Browns, also plays in the league despite missing Saturday’s action due to a dental operation.

« [ The League] put out a hand, Johnny hit me, and they said to me, « [It’s] football. Do you want to play soccer now? « Gordon told the league website after the game on Saturday. » It’s the off-season for the NFL. As opposed to sitting in the house, I want to get out of here and do some plays and have fun and most of all, be part of something bigger than myself, bigger than football.

« I think it’s like would you pass the game on to guys younger than me. People who might have questions about how to play the game at the next level. If I can impart some wisdom, I’m here to do that. « </ Gordon was released by the Seahawks at his request last week after being banned for a season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. Gordon, 29, led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards in 2013. Since then, however, he has also been suspended six times for violating the League's guidelines on drug abuse.

Gordon had a total of 60 receptions for the Patriots over 17 appearances from 2018 to 2019; He signed with Seattle after being fired from New England in October 2019.
