Welcome to Sportstar’s ISL 2020-21 live blog about today’s match between Mumbai City FC and FC Goa in the GMC stadium in Bambolim.

FC Goa coach Juan Ferrando: It was an excellent game. Two teams tried to play football and had very good players on the field. In my opinion we have problems with transitions. In terms of character and personality, we are the best team in the ISL. This team never surrendered and always wants the three points. This is the most important aspect for me.

We have just heard that Hugo Boumous showed a red card for rejecting the Goa goal. He will miss the upcoming game against Chennaiyin FC and commentators suggest that he could face further disciplinary action if he doesn’t leave the field.

This is a facility that always lives up to the hype. Goa FC made phenomenal returns three times to score a hard-fought 3-3 draw with Mumbai City FC. The result shows that Goa FC advance to 23 points and climb to third place, while Mumbai City is four points ahead at the front.

Mumbai City scored the header thanks to a goal from Hugo Boumous in the 20th minute , followed by Adam Le Fondre’s header six minutes later.

Glan Martins scored a breathtaking long shot just before half-time, a sure contender for the goal of the season to breathe new life into the Gaurs. Goa FC began the second half with renewed vigor when Angulo equalized in the 51st minute.

It seemed that the two teams would split the points until Rowllin gave Mumbai the lead with a 90th-minute header. The action was far from over when substitute Ishan Pandita found the back of the net in the final game to ensure Goa FC took at least one point away. The result shows that Mumbai City is the first team to qualify for the play-offs.

90 5 ‘ISHAN PANDITA RESULTS FOR FC GOA DEEP INTO STOP TIME! Edu Bedia whips in a fantastic ball and Pandita, who came on just a few minutes ago, scores with a nice header after the last game of the game.

90 5 ‘Vikram is in the thick of it when he attacks Jackichand’s cross, but in the end stuck. In the meantime, Boumous will be shown a yellow card.

90 ‘ROWLLIN BORGES SCORESSSSSS! Boumous’ rolls the free kick into the far post and Rowllin rolls the ball, completely unmarked, into the net. Dheeraj can’t handle this and Rowllin makes up for his earlier miss by scoring the goal that could win the match. Five minutes to add.

90 ‘Free kick from a very dangerous spot! Seriton fouled Bipin and Boumous will take the free kick.

88 ‘Mumbai City brace – Raynier and Le Fondre for Jackichand Singh and Bartholomew Ogbeche. Ogbeche makes his 50th appearance at the ISL.

87 ‘The referee gets in the way and unwittingly blocks Gonzalez on the ball at the edge of the penalty area. It’ll be a drop ball.

85 ‘Both teams pushed for the winner, but it was only a few minutes. Frequent fouls by both groups of players have made it a stop-start game.

83 ‘Another Mumbai City coach has received a yellow card. This time it’s Indian assistant coach Anthony.

82 ‘It looks like Donachie has made his injury worse and needs to be undressed. Ivan Gonzalez is the one to replace him.

80 ‘Rowllin misses an absolute sitter! Boumous races down to the left, hits Edu and pushes it over the gate. Dheeraj takes it away and lands perfectly for a rushing Rowllin who absolutely messes it up.

78 ‘Le Fondre is the last player to score. Mumbai City is the team with the most bookings this season.

75 ‘Devendra writhes in seconds before the game! Jahouh catches him in the groin with a great challenge and somehow escapes a booking.

73 ‘A change for FC Goa – Glan Martins seems to have injured himself and will make way for Devendra Murgaokar.

70′ Still 20 minutes, 20 minutes more until FC Goa disturbs the point table. A win today would put the Gaurs in third place, while a win for Mumbai City would restore them to their six point lead on the top.

66 ‘Boumous was absolutely sensational today. He skipped four defenders on the right flank a while ago and just snaked past three more.

64 ‘Great job by Seriton. Boumous sets up the box for Bipin, but Seriton disrupts his body to prevent the chance.

59 ‘This is a bad duel from the fall. He rattles against Noguera from behind and the referee has no choice but to book him for it. When FC Goa equalized, tempers now fly with frequent fouls that disrupt the flow of the game.

57 ‘Seriton’s hand catches Boumous in the face and goes into the umpire’s book. Mumbai City’s assistant coach Jesus Tato is also booked for his behavior on the contact line.

56 ‘Rowllin ….. that was close! He clings to a loose ball and hits it on the run, but cannot keep it on target. Boumous has a chance a minute later, but he too shoots it past the bar.

53 ‘A half-time shot by Juan Ferrando seems to have really spurred the Gaurs as they have completely dominated the process since the restart.

51 ‘ANGULO REACHES THE EQUALIZER! Noguera whips a cross and Angulo strikes the offside trap and Amrinder to score his eleventh goal of the season. What a turnaround!

49 ‘STAT: While Mumbai City scored 13 goals in the first half of the season, FC Goa scored 13 goals in the second half! That’s pretty much true.

47 ‘A shot from penalty kick. It rolls around three times, but the referee doesn’t buy it.

An outstanding half of football ends in suspense when Glan Martins scores a phenomenal long-term goal. Mumbai City stormed thanks to a goal from Hugo Boumous in the 20th minute, followed by Adam Le Fondre’s header six minutes later.

FC Goa seemed to have problems in the final period, but Martins’ goal at halftime won the Gaurs breathed new life. An exciting second 45 awaits you!

45 ‘MAAAAAAARTINS! An absolute screamer brings FC GOA back into the game. Martins has you ripped off the edge of the box and bursts the back of the net in a sublime way. Amrinder, who leads the race for the Golden Glove, couldn’t do anything to keep the rammers off strike.

44 ‘A shot from Ameip (Mumbai) ends with a shot from Panipa from 15 meters.

43 ‘A shot by FC Goa (FC Goa).

40′ Nervous for the Goa defense for a few minutes. The backline is carved by a beautiful pass and Amey races into the box. He skips a challenge and then loses the ball and Rowllin wins it, but his cross is thwarted.

36 ‘Adil is cautioned. Le Fondre strides to the goal, but Adil pulls him out with a strong block and then flashes the yellow card to the referee.

34 ‘Breathtaking parade for Amrinder! Seriton’s cross from the right finds Angulo and the Spaniard nods towards the bottom corner, only Amrinder makes a fantastic save.

33 ‘Mumbai City have scored their first goal nine times this season and won eight of those games. A Herculean task for FC Goa!

29 ‘Free kick from Goa. Jahouh stumbles over Angulo on the edge of the box and Ortiz will take the deadball.

26 ‘LE FONDRE MAKE IT 2-0! Bad defense against Goa and it’s Mumbai City’s advantage! Bipin’s brilliant corner is hit by a powerful Hernan header. Dheeraj manages to keep it out, but only as far as Le Fondre, who nods it in the farthest corner. This is his ninth goal of the season.

25 ‘Adil hits a shot! Mandar plays a teasing cross from the right for Le Fondre, but Adil gets a crucial final drink to send them to the corner.

22 ‘Mumbai City have scored for the 13th time in the first half of the season. Firmly.

20 ‘BOUMOUS SCORES FOR MUMBAI CITY! Boumous makes a marauding run, circling the goalkeeper before pushing him home. The gate assumes a breathtaking counterattack that cut off Edu Bedia’s pass at the other end. Raynier made the block and Le Fondre left Boumous free on an acre of space. Savor tried his best, but Boumous could not be caught.

18 ‘What a monstrous attack from autumn! Noguera lets Ortiz go into the box and Fall grinds to remove the threat.

15 ‘Goa FC dominated possession in the first quarter of the game, while Mumbai City looked impressive in their defensive organization.

13 ‘More of that combination of Goa and now Noguera and Ortiz. Noguera threads it into the box for Ortiz, but the pass is a little overcooked.

9 ‘Jahouh shoots the free kick into the penalty area. Le Fondre attacks him, but Dheeraj parries first.

8 ‘Glan rash! Santana makes an important interception and is taken out of a poor challenge from Glan Martins. This is the first booking of the game.

7 ‘Save from Dheeraj! Boumous shoots past Adil and shoots from a narrow angle. Dheeraj stretches out his arm to make a good save.

5:45 p.m .: Podcast – The merger between ATK and Mohun Bagan for ISL 2020-21 seemed like a heavenly match, but the fans didn’t look happy. Our reporters Shyam Vasudevan, Aashin Prasad and Amitabha Das Sharma deal in the latest episode of ‘The Full Time Show’ with the reasons for the displeasure of the fans and the angry hashtag #RemoveATK.

The seventh edition of the Indian Super League began on November 20th in a bio-bubble in Goa.

During the four-month tournament, eleven teams will play against each other in a league and playoff format at three venues. Following the inclusion of SC East Bengal, 115 games will be played this season, up from 95 last season.

Two teams that dominate most of the stats in the Indian Super League (ISL) compete against each other when Mumbai City FC will face FC Goa on Monday at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim. Mumbai and Goa rank first and second on most metrics, except on the table, where the latter comes in fifth, a full eleven points behind. Sergio Lobera got his side to play the ball again throughout the season, an aspect that was only improved on by Juan Ferrando, the man who replaced him as Goa coach. Goa’s 59 percent possession and 489 passes per game are the highest such numbers in the league, with Mumbai’s 56 percent possession and 486 passes per game just behind. Mumbai has the best pass accuracy in the league (75.71%) while Goa ranks second with 74.04%. The first game between these two teams was heavily hyped when Lobera faced his former team, but it didn’t quite match his bill with Goa’s redemption. Tlang receives an early red card and tips the scales in Mumbai’s favor. Adam le Fondre scored a time penalty for winning the competition for Mumbai. Both teams will aim to prove a point when they compete against each other again.

A win is necessary for Mumbai to hold first place with only three points behind ATK Mohun Bagan. With Goa unbeaten in eight games, he knows this is easier said than done. « We’re playing against a very good team, » said Lobera. « They’re under pressure to get to the playoffs and now more teams are competing for that goal. We think about ourselves and try to improve some things. As always, it’s important to know some details about the playoffs.  » Opponent. «  » But the most important thing for me as a coach is when my team plays 100%. I am very confident and positive that we will get the three points tomorrow, « he added. Goa is in the middle of a group of teams battling for the final two playoff slots. Ferrando knows any slip-up will be at this stage Team will cost a lot of money. But he refused to admit that it would be his team that would be under more pressure. « For Goa we are under pressure in every game because we want to improve and get three points in every game » he said. « Maybe Mumbai has more pressure because of its budget. His team should be ready to win the championship. The most important thing for us is to improve, play well, prepare a good plan (against our opponents) and get the three points. «  » Although Mumbai is the team with the highest score this season, Goa’s goal has from Igor Angulo increased his record to 10 for the season last week, and against him will be the current championship leader for the Golden Glove Award in Amrinder Singh. « In Mumbai City, which has collected the most yellow cards this season, anyone can im Squad, much to the content of Lobera, who has vowed to work on the disciplinary aspect.

Goa will have to do without creative midfielder Brandon Fernandes, who sustained an injury in the match against ATK Mohun Bagan last month Has.
