The pregnancy loss of Hilaria Baldwin was the reason she and her husband Alec Baldwin decided to expand their family again.
The yoga guru who recently had the couple’s sixth child just five months after giving birth welcomed her son Eduardo as a surrogate mother, said on Thursday via Instagram that the children were devastated when she lost a pregnancy at the age of four months in 2019.
« When I found out our baby had died, I told our children that their sister would be coming, just not this time, » Hilaria wrote. « Nothing will ever replace her, but two wonderful souls have come into our lives and we are humble to know them. »
When Hilaria said on Thursday that her children « longed so much for a little sister » she said they « made hope » for another sibling and got two.
« Our children were brave in our time of tremendous grief – braver than us … and they raised hope, » she said. « Experiencing and accepting the ebb and flow of life is a challenge, but a reality that we all cannot help but receive and process. I have learned that our children are often smarter than us and their wisdom has guided us. «
A source previously confirmed to page 6 that the Baldwins welcomed their new daughter Lucía as a replacement. Although Hilaria did not bring up the issue directly, Hilaria alluded to it in her new post and said she was « thankful for all the very special angels who helped bring Lucía into the world ».
« María Lucía Victoria and Eduardo Pau Lucas: our babies who bring light into our lives – almost like twins, us love you so much. «
Hilaria and 62 year old Alec, who married in 2012, are also parents of 7 year old daughter Carmen, 5 year old son Rafael, 4 year old son Leonardo and 2 year old Son Romeo.
