A video, which cannot be independently verified, shows a group of screaming tourists as they watch bears from inside a bus
The clip, which has been viewed more than 658,000 times on Chinese social media site Weibo, shows around eight bears congregating in a remote pond, where it appears they are engaging in some form of activity
In the video, a man can be heard saying, « There is someone [there] », while someone else asks, « What’s going on? »
An excavator working nearby walked towards the animals in an attempt to move the bears and save the victim, but it was too late, reports the Global Times
Shanghai Wildlife Park confirmed that an employee died after being attacked by bears, but did not provide details or comment on the allegations online
