We love nothing more than a BBC drama and the brand new political thriller Roadkill is one we can’t wait to get stuck in The new series promises scandal, intrigue and no doubt fantastic performances from its stellar cast So who will join lead actor Hugh Laurie for the series? Meet the main players below…

Joe Lapidus is a newspaper editor who works on the publication that Peter Laurence is suing in the story Playing Joe is Pip, who has appeared on shows such as The Crown, Des, Poldark and Patrick Melrose Pip has also appeared in many blockbuster movies including The Iron Lady, Star Wars, and Darkest Hour

Charmian Pepper is a journalist who wrote a story about Peter Laurence which will form the basis of the plot Playing Charmian is Sarah Greene who recently played Lorraine (Connell’s mother) in Normal People The Actress has also appeared in Vikings, rebellion and theater productions

Playing Peter’s romantic interest Madeleine is Sidse Babett Knudsen The Danish actress is perhaps best known for playing the prime minister in the famous black Nordic drama Borgen, but she has also appeared in Westworld and The Accident

Rochelle is a top-flight lawyer who helps Peter win his newspaper case but soon begins her own journey regarding his work and his own moral ethics Pippa has recently appeared in Gangs of London, Harlots and MotherFatherSon

Alongside Rochelle as a junior lawyer, Luke Strand, played by Danny Ashok Danny most recently starred in Lethal White and Cobra, but the actor has also appeared in Deep Water, The Five and Dumping Ground

Lady Roche is the owner of the newspaper, working on top of Charmian Pepper and Joe Lapidus Patricia has had a long career, having appeared on shows such as Miranda, A Very English Scandal and Rumpole of the Bailey The other members of recurring cast include Natalie Dew, Emma Cunniffe and Katie Leung
