Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is reportedly very seduced by the prospect of a transfer to Liverpool as he analyzes his options.
According to Don Balon, the French international’s future at Barca is in doubt as he considers whether to sign a new deal or try a new challenge.
The report claims Liverpool is one of the teams making him an offer and would be very tempted to accept a move to Anfield.
This comes less than two months after he made a belated decision to prevent a transfer to Manchester United on the deadline. This is evident from the print edition of France Football, translated by Sport Witness.
Liverpool could possibly use some up-front changes, with Dembele likely an ideal long-term replacement for the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah who are not getting younger.
Roberto Firmino’s loss of form this season is also a problem and it would make sense for Liverpool to risk a talent like Dembele.
The 23-year-old struggled to reach his best form in Barcelona but he is young enough to change his career as long as he makes the right move and maybe plays in a system that better suits his skills.
Man Utd might be disappointed if Dembele now land at Liverpool after reportedly turning them down this summer. The Red Devils still need a player of this type.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have been battling for goals lately and a rejuvenated Dembele could certainly be an upgrade for unconvincing players like Anthony Martial in United’s top three.
