The Philadelphia Eagles need to act quickly to reach out to the other NFL teams interviewing head coaching candidates. But the Eagles fan base already seems to have made their collective choice.

Anyone on Twitter could notice that Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is trending right now. That’s because Eagles fans are practically asking owner Jeffrey Lurie to hire the man.

Bieniemy has been Andy Reid’s right-hand man in Kansas City for several years. The team’s offensive turned into one of the best in the league when Bieniemy was promoted to full OK in 2018. Given that the Eagles’ last head coach was an Andy Reid student in Doug Pederson, the hiring of Bieniemy to be a breeze. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Bieniemy is also a former Eagles running back.

Eric Bieniemy has not been able to get a job as head coach for several cycles. But the Eagles might be the perfect job he’s supposedly looking for.
