The final decision on the future of the Vauxhall car plant in the port of Ellesmere will be made in the next few weeks, according to the owners.
The ax hangs over the Cheshire car plant – the self-proclaimed home of the Astra, since the UK voted to leave the European Union and General Motors sold the Vauxhall engine brand to PSA Peugeot Citroën for € 1.
PSA has claimed for the past three years that it will make a final decision on Ellesmere Port as soon as the state of trade between Great Britain and the European Union is decided.
