The Magpies are reeling after star midfielder Adam Trailwar, former Rising Star winner Jayden Stevenson and winger Tom Phillips are forced elsewhere as they face a salary cap disaster.
Collingwood List Manager Ned Jay claimed Thursday evening that the salary cap issues were a « defeat » and that the Magpies were intent on improving their position in the draft.
But the club’s huge crowd army is pissed off at the exodus and aren’t buying excuses for losing the players all hired next year – they took to Twitter to attack the Magpies coach Thursday night
Buckley, who lost two major finals as a Collingwood player and the other as coach, was smashed by the loss of the talented trio, as well as young Ato Bosnavolaghi who played three games

While many fans praised Buckley’s courage to speak out at a particularly difficult time for the club and its fans, his tweet was also met with backlash
