DRYDEN, Ont – A Dryden, Ont Senator can be in hot water with the US Federal Election Commission
According to VICE News, Sen Lynn Beyak, who lists his address as Davis Point Road in Dryden, NO, in early May made a $ 300 contribution to the re-election campaign of US President Donald Trump
The website says the address and zip code used does not match any New York state address, but pointed out that there is a Davis Point road in Dryden, Ontario and the address indicated corresponds to that of Beyak north of the border residence
« In response to your request, a donation was made in error and returned in its entirety, simply because it was wrong, » a member of staff told the publication
The donation, which must be returned by the National Committee of the Republic, is still listed on the FEC website
Beyak earlier this year was suspended for the remainder of parliamentary sessions after the Red Chamber Ethics Commissioner determined that her apology to First Nations members was not sincere and that she did not did not take sensitivity training seriously
