Long story short, this game is insane! I think New York City was the better team. But Orlando looks dangerous and could cause the blues a lot of pain if they’re not careful.

The Story: It’s been a roller coaster year for New York City FC. After starting their MLS season without a win and then marinating for three months due to sports failure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Boys in Blue recovered after the summer restart and made an overall impressive run they saw in from the basement the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff race rise.

After NYCFC has won the last four games in the MLS Cup Playoffs, Orlando City is facing its toughest test yet. The Lions will appear in the MLS Playoffs for the first time in their league’s six seasons. And they will be able to do it at home in front of a crowd of limited capacity.

This can potentially create complications for NYCFC. Historically, the Bronx Blues aren’t very good at playoff competition. And they’re not very good at street playoff games either.

But for many it’s a premiere year. And maybe this time around – under the leadership of Ronny Deila – NYCFC can finally make headway to lift their first cutlery in team history.
