VANCOUVER – It appears the Vancouver Canucks have severed ties with anthem singer Mark Donnelly over his plan to sing at a rally to protest COVID -19 restrictions.
Donnelly confirmed to the Vancouver Sun that he was going to sing « O Canada » at a protest in downtown Vancouver on Saturday.
Team owner Franceso Aquilini went a step further and tweeted, « Hey Vancouver Sun, change the heading to ‘Former Canucks Anthem Singer' » followed by the hashtag #wearamask.
