Christmas is a big deal for many, but a different experience for those who practice a different religion.
Since most have days off, some from other faiths don’t have trees or gifts but still use them to spend time with family – but this year the coronavirus is making it more difficult.
A Muslim man who does not normally celebrate the festivities was unable to go home for the holidays because of the pandemic.
So Mohammad Hussain stayed with his roommates and enjoyed the preparation for a happy old Christmas.
Mohammad, who works as a special assistant in the office of Minister of Innovation Navdeep Bains in Ontario, Canada, shared the entire experience.
His hilarious monologue entertained many as he wondered how much effort it takes to make the most beautiful time of the year.
Mohammad wrote, “Observation 1: Christmas is a part-time job that you have from mid-November to the end of December. From the outside, Christmas always seemed pretty easy. I always thought you’d put up a tree and then give gifts to the family. That’s a lie. ‘
He shared the whole thing on Twitter, which has over 300. Has been liked a thousand times.
Mohammad said he really got into the spirit of Christmas and even added a new tradition of filling his own stockings.
« That cost me $ 15. 99. That’s more than three bagels. I am angry. For what it cost, you best believe I insist that it be passed on to my great-grandchildren. If they break it I’ll chase them. ‘
He tells Metro. co. uk: « The response has been largely astonishing and as soon as I finish my final exam tomorrow I can have even more fun. « .
“Many people experience the holidays differently and this year donations are needed more than ever!
“I just want to encourage everyone who is able to donate to their local food bank. ‘
Mohammad shared two of the food banks on his Twitter page, one of which serves halal food. There you can look forward to his tweets and find more information about donating.
