Francisco Lindor is expected to be the biggest name in the Major League Baseball trading market this off-season by most. It sounds like a deal could be tight too.
According to Jeff Passan, ESPN MLB insider, the New York Mets and the Cleveland Indians are deep in talks about a deal for Lindor.
Lindor, a 27 year old all star shortstop, going into the final year of team control with the Indians. He will earn $ 19.5 million for Cleveland in the coming season. However, the Indians looking to change their team name seem unwilling to pay Lindor the long-term contract he is looking for.
