Bill Burr, the American comedian, actor and podcaster, was heavily criticized on social media after his comments and jokes on the stage of the 63rd Grammy Awards.
During the main event, Burr presented awards for various Categories including the best Latin rock or the best alternative album, the best choral performance, the best classical instrumental solo performance, the best classical vocal album, and the best classical compendium.
The comedian who went on stage to the piano music asked if he was the only one who wanted to kill himself during this piano solo. Then he added, « I bought a suit for it. I thought I was going to be on TV. I’m such an idiot. I’m losing so much money. »
When Burr announced the winner of the best regional Mexican music award , he mispronounced Natalia Lafourcade’s name and apologized. The Grammy goes to Natalia Lafourcade, he said, adding, « I will accept on behalf of her. If I’ve butchered her name, I’m sorry. Natalia, you won. »

The stand-up comedian also won his first Netflix comedy this year -Special Paper Tiger nominated in the best comedy album category. However, Tiffany Haddish won the Black Mitzvah award.
