They suffered a heavy 60-run loss to the Perth Scorchers in their last game and will also try to get back on their feet immediately. They are still fighting to qualify for the final so they need a win here. They are enormously supported by the return of Marnus Labuschagne, who will give their stuttering line-up a serious quality.
This game could get very close and be played by two teams with identical losses this season. Both have suffered heavy losses in their recent games and will get a big boost with the return of their international players. There’s not much to separate the two teams, but I think the Brisbane Heat has just a little more firepower and that should set them apart here. The addition of Labuschagne, one of the best batsmen in the world, is huge and will instantly boost the mood and confidence of the entire team. I expect a close match with the Brisbane Heat with a hard-fought win.
