Post trucks aren’t the only thing that’s being redesigned. President Joe Biden nominates a trio of Democrats to the USPS Board of Governors. If this were confirmed, these newcomers would give the board a left-wing majority, with the power to oust the notorious Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, whom a federal judge reprimanded last year for making the postal service a « tool of partisan policy » with the aim of making the postal service had « disenfranchised voters. »
Biden appoints Ron Stroman, a former assistant postmaster general; Amber McReynolds, who directs the National Vote at Home Institute; and Anton Hajjar, who previously headed the Postal Union’s legal department. Biden has been pressured by dozens of Democratic lawmakers to reorganize the USPS board specifically to oust DeJoy. As a testimony in front of the house on Wednesday, the Postmaster General was defiant. DeJoy said in a supervisory hearing he expected to continue his term and told lawmakers, « Get used to me. »
