President Joe Biden plans to appoint Dawn O’Connell as HHS deputy secretary for preparedness and response, the White House said on March 19.
She previously served on the Biden transition team and as director of the US Offices of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation.
She was also Executive Director of the Joint Coordination Group of CEPI and Senior Advisor to Sylvia Burwell, who served as HHS Secretary during the tenure of former President Barack Obama.
