World News – AU – Public Health Alert – Venues in West NSW

NSW Health has been notified of venues visited by a confirmed case of COVID-19 in western NSW.

The case is of a man from West Sydney who was infected at Berala BWS on Christmas Eve before unknowingly traveling contagiously to Broken Hill, Orange and Nyngan.

He has been identified as a close contact and asked to be tested by NSW Health. This case will be reported in tomorrow’s numbers.

Anyone who has visited the following venues is a close contact who must be tested immediately and isolated for 14 days regardless of the result:

Anyone who has visited the following venue during the following times is an occasional contact and must be tested and isolated immediately until a negative result is received. He must continue to monitor for symptoms and retest for symptoms:

Additional venues can be added to this list. So be sure to monitor the NSW government website for any further additions to the sites and alerts of the case.

Starting this afternoon from 12 noon, additional test capacities will be made available for the Laverty Drive-through Service on the Orange Showground. 30 p.m. and 12 p.m. in the fever clinic of the Orange Hospital.

Additional tests will be offered at the Big Bogan statue at 70 Pangee Street in Nyngan this afternoon from 2 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..

In Broken Hill, the transit clinic at Broken Hill Community Center reopened today and is open until 4pm tonight and 8am to 4pm every weekday.

NSW Health urges anyone in NSW with the slightest symptom, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat, or runny nose, to report for testing immediately and then isolate until they get a negative result.
