There are two bushfire warnings in Perth. Flames burn in the south and south-east of the metropolitan area.

The latest emergency alert applies to people traveling on the Tonkin Highway between Albany Highway and Mills Road East and in the surrounding areas in parts of Gosnells and Martin.

A previous Emergency Alert is still in effect for people in an area bounded by McLaughlan Road, Thomas Road, the Coast, Hogg Road, and Hope Valley Road.

It spans parts of the suburbs from The Spectacles, Orelia, Medina, Naval Base, Postans, Kwinana Beach, and Hope Valley.

Due to dangerous fumes in the area, people in an area bounded by Beard Road to the north, Rockingham Road to the west, Thomas Road to the south and the coast have been told to seek refuge.

People in both areas are at risk and must act immediately to survive. There is a danger to life and home.

Adrian Hamill, district official for the Department of Fire and Rescue Services (DFES), told the ABC that the authorities would intensify their attack on this fire.

Mr. Hamill said the crews were hoping to contain the fire before it reached the nearby Perth Motorplex.

ABC Emergency brings emergency warnings and reporting to one place before, during, and after times of crisis and disaster.

There is a clock for parts of Parmelia, Calista, Orelia, Medina, Kwinana City Center, East Rockingham and Kwinana Beach.

DFES said the fire was moving rapidly in a north-north-west direction and was out of control and unpredictable.

It has closed a number of roads in the area, including portions of Thomas Road, Abercrombie Road, and Rockingham Road.

In the meantime, a fire that threatened the small country town of Wundowie on Saturday has been contained and remains under control at the advisory level.

DFES said the fire started near the junction of Great Eastern Highway and Inkpen Road and was reported early Saturday afternoon.

Thousands of homes in the region were left without power due to damaged infrastructure.

DFES said the fire burned through 65 acres of land and classified the cause as accidental.

Another fire that began Saturday morning in Red Gully has also been downgraded on advice.

DFES said while there was still a lot of smoke in the area, the bushfire is now stationary, contained and under control.

« While there is no imminent danger, you need to be aware and stay informed should the situation change, » a warning reads.

It has 1. 530 acres burned since it began near the intersection of Mogumber Road West and Brand Highway.
