Prime Minister Boris Johnson plunged England back into restrictions not seen since March on Monday in a desperate attempt to keep the mutant tribe in check.
Lovisa had to close 42 stores immediately amid coronavirus rife in the UK.
‘Due to the UK Government’s announcement that it is going to issue another lockdown in response to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, our 42 UK branches will be temporarily closed with immediate effect, with the reopening date being subject to further government advice » was the explanation.
Previously in November, Lovisa was forced to close 40 stores in the UK due to previous local bans.
In France, the company closed 24 stores in late October due to coronavirus restrictions there.
Mr Johnson imposed the toughest national lockdown since March to prevent rising coronavirus infections from overwhelming healthcare systems.
