A woman almost drowned on Bronte Beach in Sydney as the neighboring parking lot in Bondi is already at full capacity.
The woman was torn from the surf after she passed out the previous Saturday, said Kay Armstrong, inspector for NSW Ambulance.
« I think she is fine and was rushed to the hospital by paramedics from NSW Ambulance, » Ms. Armstrong told reporters on Saturday.
« Obviously the surf is dangerous and people are swimming beyond their abilities. Make sure you stay near the shore between the flags and take care of yourself out there, ”she said.
With Sydney getting its first glimpse of the heat for months, authorities warned that the crowd will be turned away if the beaches get too crowded.
The ferries from F3 Parramatta to Circular Quay are also reaching capacity. Customers are asked to allow plenty of extra travel time and keep up to date with service announcements.

Waverley Council warned ahead of the weekend that it would be administering numbers on its three beaches to ensure COVID-19 rules are followed.
« We will make sure that our beaches don’t get too crowded and that everyone can safely enjoy our beautiful public areas, » said lifeguard and beach safety manager Matt du Plessis.
« If you are planning to take advantage of our beaches, parks and outdoor areas and they look busy, please reconsider your trip and come back another time when it is less busy.
« When we reach capacity, access to the sand will be restricted until the numbers stabilize so it’s everyone’s turn. ”
Beach ambassadors in bright blue shirts monitor the coast and make sure that the restrictions are respected.
Although some restrictions are easing in NSW, outdoor public gatherings are still limited to 30 people, and those people must keep 1. 5 meters or a towel, unless you come from the same household.
