Jürgen Klopp has to juggle his squad again while Liverpool take on a tough schedule and complain of a growing number of injuries.
James Milner sustained an injury in the 1-1 draw with Brighton this weekend as he joined a large group of teammates on the sidelines. The midfield looked dangerously thin now.
The Reds need a point in their Champions League group stage against Ajax on Tuesday to secure a place in the last 16.
Ajax is in better health and was able to claim a 5-0 win in the run-up to this game on the weekend.
The game will be shown live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate. Subscribers can stream the game through the BT Sport app and the desktop website.
Liverpool’s injury problems continue to mount and James Milner is out at the weekend with an apparent thigh strain. He joins Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara and Trent Alexander-Arnold on the sidelines. Xherdan Shaqiri was also missing recently, while Nat Phillips is incomprehensible. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on his way back, but probably won’t be there.
Mohammed Kudus is injured for Ajax but otherwise they have a perfectly suitable squad to choose from.
It may not be as nice as the history and recent success of these teams suggests that it might have been at another point in time, but any win will be enough for the Reds. Liverpool 1-0 Ajax
