The devastated family of a young soccer player who was left dead on the roadside has shown that they can’t cope without knowing what happened.
A 20-year-old man died on his way to hospital after being beaten shortly after midnight on Hall Street in Alexandra, 130 kilometers northeast of Melbourne. The shattered family of a young soccer player who was left on the roadside for dead has emotionally asked for answers when they revealed that it « hurts the most » without knowing what happened.

Sister Ebony Purcell said her brother’s death had devastated her family, and the last 17 months had been heartbreaking as they tried to adjust to life without him.

Brother Lyndon Purcell said it was « incredible » that anyone could hit someone in their vehicle and leave them on the side of the road.
« We recognize the difficulty of moving forward, but we ask that you respect our need to know the truth and gain a sense of closure, » he said.
Jordan had spent the day with his beloved Alexandra Rebels Football Club after growing up and finishing school in the small country town.

He said there were inconsistencies in the accounts the people in the car and their staff provided to the detectives.
He said rumors, including that Jordan was on the roof or in the back of the ute, were also false, and Jordan was not in the vehicle but was walking home at the time he was fatally struck.
